We're building a community site that is all about companies. Finding them, knowing them and talking about them. We're working to connect people with companies of all sizes around the planet and we want to do it with real people, because people know the companies they love and we are working hard to become one of them.
We don't have our listings vehicle entirely established at this point, but we are working on that. If you own or market for a company, we recommend you join our community (registration is free). With registration, we get to know you and you get to contribute to how this site should grow and mature.
Keep in mind that we require a confirmation email, so we don't have this site spammed by those who use such techniques. That said, we will need you to carefully enter your correct email address when you register so that you can confirm your membership and you can participate.

Finally, we wanted to share some of our thinking with you to help you to understand us better.
Over the years we have been online, we have seen many things, we've seen companies come and go, the dot com bust, the recovery, and so much more. Of all the things we've seen and found wrong probably one of the worst was the entire concept of "pay per click" advertising. Perhaps from a search engine, it might arguably make sense, but even there you can read about many dissatisfied companies who never saw ROI. We know, we were one of them.
The companies.net site is going to be different, a flat fee for a flat term. Similar to a yellow page publication, but a whole lot better. We understand the Internet reasonably well and are here to tell you that for a fixed rate, you won't find a harder working group ready to help your company get found. Part of our listing fees will go to search engine marketing through ad buys (not the sneaky stuff that gets sites banned like so many 20 somethings will do for your company for an outrageous fee), but as you know, there is safety in numbers, so you won't be alone out there with these huge media outfits that have grown up over the last 8-10 years. We'll be a community together and we will be successful because we do the right thing by everyone who comes here, our guests, those who chose to list with us and our own bottom line to make sure we continue to do well for many years to come.
We know that there are some 20,000,000 plus business in the US alone, many are simply small family businesses that want to do business with others locally and some online. We have a home for these businesses right here at Companies.Net and we hope you join our own small business in making this site a global success story.
